Based on the needs of our clients we produce renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) or low carbon fuels that count towards regulatory targets or our clients’ ambitions to decarbonize. All are also commonly known as PtX -fuels (Power to X). PtX fuels are more than just a viable alternative to traditional fossil fuels — they’re the key to creating a truly sustainable energy future. Current energy system, largely based on fossil fuels, contributes significantly to global greenhouse gas emissions. PtX fuels, in contrast, offer a path to sustainable and zero-emission energy systems. PtX fuels are based on splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen releasing heat for industrial use or heat grids. The hydrogen can the be combined with nitrogen to produce green ammonia or green CO2 to produce hydrocarbons such as green methanol or sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
